If you have purchased a Windows VPS there are two ways you can access your server:
First, you can use the built-in console feature from https://control.vps.net, although this is quite slow and should only be used for ‘Console’ access.
The preferred and recommended way is to use the Microsoft ‘Remote Desktop Connection’.
If you are using a Windows-based computer to access it, this should be pre-installed inside:
‘Start’ ➜ ‘Accessories’➜ ‘Remote Desktop Connection’.
If you are using an OS X-based machine you will need to download it from the Mac App Store.
If you are using a Linux-based computer then Rdesktop is recommended.
Once you have installed the software, enter the IP of your VPS into the “Computer:” field and click “Connect”.
For a freshly installed VPS, use the following login credentials:
User name: Administrator
Password: <Initial Administrator password>
